Why do I need to register?
An RSVP is critical to the planning of a successful event. It gives us a number to work with when making arrangements for food, beverages, seating and more.

Respected Ladies of the Nepali Community,
According to the Nepali calendar, this year the great festival Teej falls on September 6, 2024; and the Nepali Cultural Center (NCC) is organizing Teej Puja in its own place. Pundit Janak Baral, who chairs the Satsang Committee of NCC, will conduct the Puja according to Hindu traditions. All ladies are cordially invited with your own Puja Samagri.
This is a free event. However, all the money received at Teej Puja will be donated to NCC to pay a monthly $2,780.00 space rental fee. The Nepali Cultural Center (NCC) is run by donation and contribution. If you would like to help us, please donate any amount. Click here for IRS tax deductible donation link.Â

Teej Puja Samagri List
- A metal plate for keeping the idols of Lord Shiva and Parvati
- Shiva Linga or Shiva Parvati Murti
- Ganesh Murti
- Kalash
- Diyo, Match box(lighter)
- A chowki (wooden platform for placing the sculptures of the deities)
- A clean cloth, preferably yellow/orange or red, for covering the Chowki.
- One whole coconut with its husk
- One Gallon water, one big Bowl (for Karma Patra)
- Mango or paan leaves for the Kalash.
- Ghee, Â Milk and Spoon
- Dhoop
- Paper towel
- Bowl and paper plate(Duna Tapari)
- Panchamrit (milk, Yogurt, Honey, Sugar and Ghee)
- Puja Samagri Packet( from store)
- Oil for lighting the lamp
- Paan leaves 2 or 5 each for Lord Shiva and Parvati.
- Supari 2 pieces each for Mata Parvati and Lord Shiva
- Banana (two pieces each for Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati)
- Dakshina (suggested Dakshina as per your capacity but minimum $21.00)
- Fruits, paan, supari, flowers, Rice 100 gram
- Dubo grass
- A tray or a paper plate for keeping all the items together.
- Bel patra
- Datura fruits and flowers
- Shami leaves
- A fresh piece of white cloth
- Chandan
- Janeu
- Fruits (fresh and dry)
- Abeer, Sindoor, Clothes
- Other accessories as per your need.
