The Nepali Cultural Center (NCC) is a non-profit organization with tax exempt status under Section 501 (c) (3) of Internal Revenue Service (IRS). It is based in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) and primarily serves the Nepali-American community in this metropolitan area. NCC’s goal includes the preservation and promotion of Nepalese identity and cultural heritage; establishment, operation and maintenance of a Hindu temple, a community hall, and facilities for conducting charitable, religious, spiritual, cultural, educational activities, and celebrating Nepalese festivals; maintenance and promotion of interreligious harmony, tolerance, goodwill, and understanding; and encouragement and support of humanitarian and charitable causes.
In the absence of its own building, NCC has leased a property at 3951 Pleasantdale Road, Unit 201, Atlanta, GA 30340 for two years (2019, 2020). NCC’s short-term objective is to conduct its activities at this leased facility; and its long-term objective to purchase or build its own building at a suitable location in the Atlanta metro area.
NCC was incorporated in the State of Georgia on October 30, 2014. It received exemption from Federal Income Tax under Section 501(c)3 of Internal Revenue Code effective November 4, 2014. Contributions made to NCC are deductible within the provisions of the law. NCC is run by a 29-member Board of Directors including a 15-member Executive Committee. All members are volunteers who offer their time and efforts without any compensation.
